#7 in the “My Legacy Series” by Dr. Ted Camp
“These personal stories are unusual because at times Deaf people are unusual. I learn from them and they learn from me. What teaches me – I teach you. Come and travel with me through years of ministry into the deaf world. I have often said that if you take the kid out of me I could not minister to the deaf. It seems God has given me a special love just for the Deaf people. These articles are unedited so what you see is what you get. I often say that some people cross every i and dot every T use perfect grammar and still say nothing. This is unusual unique book and only those who are Deaf or minister to the deaf may be touched with the articles. I kept pictures of many of these people because they were unforgettable. I also realize that everyone who ministers to the Deaf will also have their Deaf stories. I love to review and remember the times the Lord blessed not only me but those to whom I ministered. As Paul the Lord also put many into my path to teach me lessons about the Deaf world and culture. I have never regretted giving my life to serve in the Deaf world for Christ. So come along with me and see what the Lord has done in my life and He can also do in your life. I personally feel that those who serve with the Deaf and the same as missionaries as they learn a language and culture. As Paul I can also say, “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the (Deaf) ministry” (1 Timothy 1:12). – TC
